Below is our legal jargon that essentially says, as long as you live in your home, we’ll come out and fix anything that breaks due to workmanship or material defect. And then it says we won’t fix it if you smash it up intentionally, or if the universe hates you and dropped a tree on your house, or if the neighborhood kid sent a baseball through your window. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera…

Limited Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

Total Home of Kansas, Inc. (hereafter, Total Home) guarantees its installation workmanship for the life of the original owner as long as he or she continues to own the home and occupy it as his or her primary residence. Total Home warrants that all installation work it performs will be free of defects and be accomplished according to manufacturers’ installation instructions or accepted industry standards and practices. This warranty is not valid for commercial installations or for any other type of use of the premises. If workmanship is found to be defective, Total Home will provide all collective labor and/or material necessary to correct defective workmanship without charge to the owner of the property where work was done. This workmanship warranty is transferable within five years of the date the work was completed. The new home owner must notify Total Home in writing within 30 days of the home’s closing.
 

Manufacturer’s Guarantees and Warranties

Total Home guarantees that each of the products it installs carries a manufacturer’s guarantee or warranty. Such warranties cover defects in the product’s manufacturing process and will vary in duration depending on the product installed. Copies of manufacturer’s warranties are available upon request.
 

Exclusions and Limitations

Total Home does not warrant against and shall not be liable for any damage due to or caused by accidental or intentional damage, abuse, misuse, fire, flood, moisture from humidity retention or accumulation, mildew, windstorm, tornado, earthquake, ice, hail, other weather of a catastrophic nature, acts of God, settlement or deterioration of the building structure, improper care, adverse effects of pollution, impact of foreign objects, and causes or damages beyond the control of Total Home. Furthermore, this warranty shall exclude all routine and normal maintenance that needs to be periodically reapplied, repaired, or replaced; including but not limited to paint, stain, caulk, grout, water sealant, etc. Total Home shall not be liable for any damages or repairs in excess of the original contract price. This warranty does not apply to roof installation.
